Introduction Mindfulness refers to a process that leads mental state characterized by non-judgmental awareness of the present moment experience, including one´s sensations, thoughts, bodily states, consciousness, and environment, while encouraging openness, curiosity, acceptance. Objectives The purpose this paper is review ways in which cognitive behavioural treatments for depression anxiety have been advanced application mindfulness practices. Methods Brief non-systematic literature on topic. Results has spread rapidly Western psychology research practice, large because success standardized mindfulness-based interventions, consequently based interventions (MBIs) increased exponentially past decade. most common include Mindfullness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), incorporate essence Eastern practices into cognitive-behavioral practice. MBIs showed efficacy reducing severity depressive symptoms broad range treatment seeking individuals. also perform with not so different results therapy (CBT). Conclusions be important co-adjuvants pharmacological psychotherapy anxiety. To prove point without doubts create adequate guidelines these forms more needs done matter.
